This time last week.

Just a quick note a week on from the snowy Friday when, having to pick some milk up, I decided to take a walk through Bourton-on-the-Water.
Its one of the most enchanting places when dusted with the white stuff.
It'll take more than snow to stop these cafes from opening.
In fact, there seems to be a distinct denial of the season.

After coming home I caved into their emotional blackmail and took   Benny and Liam out for their walk.
This is Benny. He's the last one out of 4 rescues we had for 15 years. Now 16 he's very wobbly but still eager to go out for a sniff-around.
Liam doing just that and...
...keeping a lookout.
Well, I did say that this will be a quick, or rather a short post so let me sign off with a little touch of blue.

Till next time.

What beautiful pictures, we had a lovely holiday in the Cotswolds a few years ago and we had many picnics on those very banks at Bourton on the water where we dangled our bottle of champagne in the river to chill, happy memories thanks for sharing, Lucey x

Hi Joasia,
Sorry, I have just since read your email. Thank you for letting me know about your history of rehoming dogs, that is all very good to know. I wasn't really sure if I should have been more insistent the other day and should a similar thing happen next time I will be more assertive with the warden. I think they expect too much of dogs when they first meet! It's great that you have had such success with your lovely dogs.
Have a good weekend, Essie x

That is soooo pretty! We visited Bourton about 5 or 6 years ago, stayed at The Old Manse (the bar and food areas were OK, least said the better about our bedroom). Visited The Cotswold Perfumery, too; I'd been buying the perfume for years and also sending it as presents to friends. Such a lovely place to visit and now you can stay there, too (self catering, I believe.) Loved those pieces of blue & white in the snow, and that lovely iris. Aren't iris wonderful blooms! I didn't like them as a child, I thought they looks a little sinister, but now I adore them!

Hello Sharon and welcome to my blog.
I'm a true beginner at this so I do hope you will find at least some of it interesting.
Being a technophobe i need help with my website and that is not readily available but I hope to have some activity on line soon.
Hope your weekend is great too.

Hi Lucey,
Thank you for your comment.
I'm so glad that you had a lovely time here, I'm sure the Champagne brought an additional sparkle.
I just read your blog and I'd like to wish your daughter the very best and a speedy recovery. Thankfully, all is now behind her and she can look forward to a new chapter in her life.
