Slowly but surely.

If you're anything like me, you'll have a 'TO DO' list that seems endless and ever growing. I'm renowned for setting myself unachievable targets and then beat myself up for not reaching them.
With the coming of the New Year I decided to turn over a new leaf and be a little more realistic about my capabilities. So, with the help of my tolerant husband, I drew up a SORT list of tasks for immediate attention.
First one on the list was this lovely Victorian display case which now houses a fraction of my china cup collection. I bought the cupboard over a year ago at an antique fair. After painting and ageing it I stuck it in the garage and onto the TO DO list.
I didn't want to over do things so, to take a break from the diy, we took a nice walk which we found in this book. It has lots of walks of varied lengths and gives you a guide as to how strenuous they are.

Made some new friends...
...and saw a quirky wall finial.

Couldn't help photographing these lovely colours.
Well, just a short one today as I'm off to a fair in the early hours so off to bed now.
Sleep tight everyone!

Hi Teresa,
Thanks for your message, I hope you won't be disappointed. As for my photographs, well, I guess I'm really luck, I just point and shoot. Never been great with doing things by-the-book.

I'm fairly new to your blog, too, and really enjoy seeing your pretty china and your photos of the great outdoors (the Cotswolds.) A while since we have stayed in the Cotswolds but last time we visited the Cotswold Perfumery at Bourton on the Water and Snowshill Manor, both super places to visit (I like to support the Perfumery as they make delicious English fragrances using natural products - nice to support a home industry and a west country one at that.)

Hello Margaret,
I'm glad you like my china, its my weakness.
The Cotswolds is such an easy subject to photograph, beauty is present at every turn of the head. You should visit soon, Spring is gorgeous here.
I absolutely agree, there's nothing better than supporting local industry. Most of the hand made stock in my shop I source from local people. Its a great feeling.
Do stay in touch and let me know if you decide to visit.
